We can do this better than others because we have a combined 60 years of hands-on experience in clinical care and materials selection. Whether the most appropriate method in treating you was developed in 1950 or this year, we will do what is needed to fabricate the perfect result for your situation. We are as equipped to provide old-school exoskeletal solutions with the utmost craftsmanship as we are to provide the newest in cutting-edge socket designs and hip/knee/ankle/foot technologies. How we do it
It's simple, really - control the process, control the results. Results are the combination of a patient-centered focus in the clinical setting and an absolute perfection of craftsmanship in the laboratory. A prosthetist cannot provide the best device for their patient until they have mastered both of these things. Most prosthetists today rarely set foot in a laboratory, as this is not emphasized in the pedagogy of today's O&P schools. The consequence is a workforce of young prosthetists who know the theories, but who have no practical understanding of how to apply these to patient problems, and have no skilled training with the power and hand tools required to make such beautifully functional prostheses. At Oconee Prosthetics, we are experts in the patient room and in the laboratory. If you can dream it, we can do it !
